Welcome to Oak Shade Meadow: A site of natural beauty, our meadow is uniquely divided into distinct spaces. The centrepiece is our self-set oak grove, ideal for ceremonies and gatherings, complemented by the water-side green-space and several secret clearings awaiting your discovery. The meadow’s charm is enhanced by its wild, untamed appearance, shaped by nature and care.

Secluded yet Accessible: Tucked away from the bustle, yet conveniently reachable via the A14, our site offers ample parking right next to the meadow. We provide essential amenities such as water and water and toilets. Embracing sustainability, our facilities are consciously basic, featuring eco-friendly touches like composting toilets crafted from reclaimed timber.

A Unique Camping Experience: If you're looking for a camping experience that's a little bit different from the norm, then the Meadow is a fantastic place to visit. Completely exclusive with the freedom to enjoy your time as you want, your stay will be a chance to unwind and connect with friends and family away from other distractions.

For Every Occasion: Whatever size booking you require, we can talk through your plans and guide you through your event. For larger gatherings, including workshops and smaller celebration parties, we can provide a large canvas tent with seating and tables and someone staying on-site to support. If you're dreaming of a wedding or a grand celebration, our meadow is your blank canvas to make your perfect day happen.

A History of Hosting Diverse Events: Over the years, Oak Shade Meadow has welcomed a variety of groups, ranging from intimate family retreats and small festivals to memorable weddings and enthusiast clubs.

Tailored to Your Needs: We're here to provide you with the space you need, so you can you arrange additional amenities to suit your purpose. We're happy to collaborate with third party bookings that you make such as tipi tents and caterers to ensure your event, be it a wedding, retirement party, yoga workshop, or survival skills weekend, is a resounding success. At Oak Shade Meadow, the possibilities are endless.

Private Group Camping

If you're looking for a way to spend time with dear friends and family in a secluded outdoor location, we would love to host you in the meadow as your own getaway.

Large enough for everyone to have their own space with a short walk to a local pub and the opportunity for a morning dip in spring-fed pond, a weekend in the meadow is one you'll all remember.

This booking is for groups of up to 30 people camping, without either a commercial purpose or use of a marquee/canvas.

£12 per person, £120 minimum. Maximum guests 30. Firepit, wood and canvas marquee on request and charge.

Workshops, Retreats, Small Celebrations

If you are looking for a unique and private site to run workshops or a get-together with a little more energy, then we are more than happy to facilitate your wishes. This booking is also for larger groups of friends or families who want a marquee erected.

We can provide additional 'wild' cooking equipment and our own marquee for booking in this category.

This booking is for groups of up to 30 people camping, with either a commercial purpose or use of a marquee/canvas.

£420 per day for up to 30 people, with automatic inclusion of our canvas marquee, firepit and benches.

Weddings and Large Events

A beautiful location for a natural or festival style wedding or private celebration, our meadow is large enough, and diverse enough to suite many tastes.

You could make perfect use of our natural Oak Circle or waterside space for a unique ceremony, then arrange your own day in twin-peaked Tipi or beautiful canvas marquee for catering and celebrating into the night

This booking is for 30 to 80 people on your event day with camping included for the duration of your stay.

Additional bookings required for third party services.

£600 per day or £2500 for 5 days max.

Sam Tawn, Pre-Wedding Celebration with Friends

"Having been a bit nervous about the idea of having a stag do and also not quite sure what to expect, I couldn't have been happier with my alternative experience at the meadow.

We had the entire place to ourselves out in nature which felt really special. We had a whole host of activities prepared that involved using the land and surroundings. We also had the opportunity to try out other activities on the land which were organised by Will such as Clay Pigeon Shooting.

There is a small lake on the land which you can swim in and there was a big tent set up for a communal area to eat and cook in if it rains, and of course to have a little bit of a party in!

It was an amazing alternative to a stag and I would recommend it to anyone or group that wants to have fun but also connect to nature and have a bit of a wild experience."
